Our computer training program teaches students tech skills to students who have never had access to computers.

Utilizing a self-learning model of video tutorials and personal exercises, students can learn at their own pace as they advance through typing and  office applications. Our program lays a solid foundation and empowers kids to learn for themselves, preparing them for more advanced topics like web development and programming.

Information technology training for students in Guatemala

We help students develop current IT skills so they can acquire gainful employment enabling them to break the cycles of poverty prevalent amongst impoverished communities in Guatemala.

Students learn web development, Python, Java, C++ and Photoshop through online courses. programs.

STEM

Cadaniño's STEM education uses robotics, electronics, and engineering tools to teach critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while introducing at-risk students to exciting engineering and computer science career opportunities, helping break cycles of poverty and underemployment. It also improves academic outcomes and prepares students for success in the modern workforce.

Reading

Reading books is uncommon in Guatemala. Many parents read poorly, families have few or no books at home, there are no public libraries, books are expensive and schools generally don't assign students to read.

Since launching our reading initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have created a culture of reading amongst our students. In 2022 they read 1,493 books.

At Cadaniño we strive to make learning fun. Playing board games has a positive impact on a child's development.


It helps enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills and teaches the importance of order, structure and following rules.
